This is version one. I had thought of soooo many different ways to go with this one. Be for warned there will eventually be different versions, but this one is the first.

I am currently making an updated Tim Drake Robin. I am using the vintage Robin heads for the custom. I am debating on selling these in the future. Let me know what you think.

I finally got around to doing some work on turning an old Power Team Spy Car into a Batmobile. This little black beast was sold as an exclusive through Sears Canada a few years back and came with a 12" tall Power Team figure dressed in a black tux. Sadly, instead of using their knock off Connery head, they used some frou frou pretty boy head...I quickly changed that!
Anyways, the car is a bit tight for a 12" figure, but dead on perfect for an 8" Mego Batman. I've included a pic of a WIP Batman to show the scale.
The car has some neat tricks no spy, or Batman, can live without. If you push down on the gear shift, wheel shredders pop out of the wheels. Push the radio console into the dash, and the headlights (complete with lasers..err...I mean "Frikkin' Lasers") pop up. Push the button on the b pillar behind Robins seat, and the trunk flies open, and has a missile launcher assembly built into the lid (fires 4 missiles). Inside the trunk is a briefcase that has secret compartments. I have turned that into a portable Batlab. Also inside is an umbrella that fires a missile. It needs to be cut down to Mego size still...and I havent figured out how to do that without losing the missile firing capability.

The decals are temporary. I am getting some high quality ones, and these are just to show location and size.

Planet of the Apes Deluxe Playset-Final Design (with movie!)

Well, I think the art is finished on this one. I wanted to really show what it will look like so I made a 3D model and made a 360 degree rotation. Check it out:

*POTA Playset in 3D* (http://www.megomuseum.com/projects/extexpanded_pota.mov) (may take some time to load--95mb)

The front of the case shows the crash of the spaceship. All the other parts fold up inside it. The lawgiver and liberty torch will be laminated extensions that slip onto the back wall. The jail will have a laser cut door with a funky POTA vibe to the bars. The arch is also laminated, and has a solid bridge behind it so you can pose Soldiers on top and capture a human in a net. I'm also going to try to have some laser cut ladders to get up to the archway bridge.

Image: http://www.megomuseum.com/projects/expanded_pota_124.jpg

Image: http://www.megomuseum.com/projects/expanded_pota_310.jpg

Been working on this one forever. I like the art style, it's pretty retro and fun, it's made to look like marker art and has printing dots on it and everything. I really simplified the design from my earliest versions (http://megomuseum.com/community/showthread.php?t=17186), so I think it will be easier to make. Now that I've settled on the design I just have to get the art printed and make the real thing!

If you think you'll want one of these PM me for details.

I just about have the figure completed. There are still a couple of things that I am not pleased with as of yet. One, being the emblem as it is incorrect. Just a little something that I stuck on for now.

Secondly, I am not quite finished with the belt yet. I have some modifications to make to it still such as the large pouches as seen on the backer card.

All in all so far so good though. I went ahead and made this one a removable cowl version since I had an extra RC laying around.

So what do you guys think? Am I getting close?

Image: http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn184/livnxxxl/2009/11%20November%2009/DSC09325.jpg

p.s. The figure on the right of the clam shell is actually in a Super Man suit with some Batman trunks that I cut out and salvaged from another junk suit. I was thinking about going that route for a while and then decided to do the suit by painting it instead.

Image: http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn184/livnxxxl/2009/11%20November%2009/DSC09353.jpg

Here I have two more projects that I am working on. I kind of bounce back and forth between projects. When I get stuck on one I move to another until I feel that I am doing it right.

To the far left I have a custom Money Man figure (Mego version as per Joe -
Thunderbolt's request a good while back) I am also making this one a removable cowl as seen in the picture. p.s. Joe - There is one of the Flamingo's in the scene as well. Just for you.

In the middle background is yet another version of Money Man in a different suit. Just playing around with the wrestling belt on him for now. Both of the suits so far have been custom tailored and nicely done by Matt - SpiderRogue.

The third figure over is yet another Money Man custom. I am doing multiple versions and comparing looks right now. The head is cast by me. The suit is from an unknown figure that I aquired. Fits pretty good.

Lastly, The fourth figure in the background is going to be my custom Money Man alter ego version. White suit by CTVT. Custom head is to be announced later.

Lots of fun here. I plan on sticking it out here in the Midwest this year and utilizing my recently built new building to "play" around in. We will see how things go.

Image: http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn184/livnxxxl/2009/11%20November%2009/DSC09347.jpg

Musical lighted tree from Lowes. Runs on 4.5V electric or battery operated.

I recently decorated the tree with candy canes. Not currently shown. This is already an older picture. I need to snap new ones again. The candy canes used is just like the candy cane that Santa is holding in the picture.

The head which I am not happy with at the moment is just a temporary fill in for now. I wanted to see how it would look and now I know. I think that it looks like crap. I have another head (more realistic) that has just been recently cast. Needs to be painted still.

The suit is from a Santa Claus ornamental figure that I picked up some time ago. The suit fits the Mego body amazingly well as you can see in the picture above.

I still need reindeer for the sleigh. Any ideas and or suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

So I am working on making action figures of some of my paintings and I need some help. What kind of plastic/rubber do people use to make the final heads for their custom megos? I need these to be of lasting quality as they will be sold in one of the galleries that carry my work. So any ideas that anybody has would be greatly appreciated. Here are some examples of the figures that I will be making--also if anybody knows of some good bodies to use to simply add the head that would be awesome--I don't think female Mego bodies would work, but maybe somebody has some ideas...

The is a smaller Tri-Box design and it's based on the '66 Batman TV show:

Image: http://megomuseum.com/mmgallery/files/4/3/BatgirlSample3.jpg
Image: http://megomuseum.com/mmgallery/files/4/3/BatgirlSample4.jpg

The actual configuration of the pieces is still being worked on....if you recall, Barbara Gordon had a revolving wall in her bedroom that led to her secret changing room and the secret exit for her Batgirl Cycle...

The Bedroom Wall/Vanity:

The Secret Room/Vanity and the Bat Cycle Exit:

Stuff still needs to be added to the Secret Room and there will probably be an additional wall which may be either the bedroom or the lvingroom. Whichever it will most certainly include her bird Charlie. :wink_y:
