Cool, didn't see this coming.

There were some interesting signs. During the summer, a third party was granted trademark on the Micronauts marks, seeming to end the constant trademark battle over Micronauts between AGE and Takara.

Takara had also cooked up some very play-worthy, Micro-change like toys that found themselves quite out-of-place in the Transformers Bay-movie toy line.

Last week AGE filed for media trademarks, using the same address and attorney as that third party.

But I think this should be good. Hasbro + Takara = win, as far as I'm concerned.

That is interesting news. It will be fun to see what they come up with.

It only makes sense, if it wasn't for Hasbro, there might not have been any Micronauts in the first place (GI Joe > Takara gets license for GI Joe in Japan > Takara creates Henshin Cyborg based on GI Joe body > Takara "shrinks" Henshin Cyborg to create Microman). It's like things have come full circle (leaving out Mego's Micronauts, and Takara's Microman line's continued evolution helped lead to Hasbro's Transformers).

Wow, WGSH AND Micronauts. What are we bringing back next, mutton chops?

Seriously, I wonder if they will make new toys under the Micronauts banner or re-release the older characters, etc.

Hmmmm....

Micronauts seems to come back every so often. Not that I'm COMPLAINING. I'd love to see some of the old Microman toys done here, as well as some new stuff. (MORE. GLOWING. BRAINS!)

I wonder if they're gonna market the NEW Microman stuff as Micronauts?

Chances are it'll be a whole new line, although I'm hoping for a domestic release of the c1999 Magnepower line.

BTW - I already had a reporter contact me for background and opinion.

I'm personally hoping for a new line based on the Mego released figures (Space Glider, Membros, Acroyear, Microtron, etc.) than imports of recent Takara stuff.
