I did an article on them once for Lee's. As I recall, they started the line around 1989 and were still doing it up until 1998. The quality went all over the map though, also a fire in their HQ killed more than a few cool projects.

I might be able to help.

I've got a few 4th doc, sea devil, time lord, master, 25th anniversary tardis consol set..and proberly a few more hidden away somewhere...the fact that the playset was out for the 25th anniversary gives the date away as 1987/8.

Dapol were more infamous for the mistakes they made ...the 2 handed Davros and 5 sided (instead of 6) tardis console spring to mind.

It's a figurine as is the early cyberman, no articulation whatsoever.

                    Hiya Palitoy,

Any way to look up that Lee's article?

                    thanks
                    rche

edit - I can't find an archive for Lee's, but they sell the back issues. Do you have any way of finding out what iss. that article was in?

                    thanks for your time.

                          At one time I owned

                          Patrick Troughton
                          John Pertwee
                          Tom Baker
                          Sly McCoy
                          The Master
                          Cyberman (Earthshock)
                          3 Time Lords
                          K-9
                          MIB TARDIS

They were decent figures, but not great.

I always hated Pertwee being a giant.
I also hated the TARDIS being way out of scale with them.

I bought them when they first came out because I was so starved for Doctor Who toys, the quality was so inconsistant that it made me crazy.

Tom Baker figure looked like an action figure of Tom Baker, the Cyberman was 8' feet tall and John Pertwee suffered from gigantism.
