I actually liked her better than Julie Newmar.

I have nothing against Julie's portrayal, it's just that when I was very little, and caught the show's first set of reruns, I liked Eartha's version better.

I actually thought at the time, that she was the first Catwoman, and that she had been replaced by a white woman.

(Give me a break, I was three years old at the time; what did I know about the order of the episodes?)

From what I've heard, she was a wonderful person who truly believed in the causes that she fought for, with a generous heart.

She will be very much missed.

Au revoir Eartha!

The "black/white Batman villain" scenario was kinda
repeated with Two Face in the B:TAS run in the 90s---
to an adult, I think it adds variety and a new spin...to a kid...it can sometimes be confusing...

I also thought Kitt handled the role well---hamming it up in her own unique
way like a good '66 Batman villain should.

She also "wore the suit" well...looked good in it...ahem...

RIP

Do you mean Billy Dee Williams as Harvey Dent in 1989's Batman? In B:TAS, which was inspired in part by that movie, Dent was once again caucasian.

Ms. Kitt (what a great name for a Catwoman!) had the purr-fect voice for the felonius feline, as well as cabaret.

I see Dent in B:TAS as his classic self though I suppose you can interpret the animated Two-Face another way. It depends on how you look at it.

I look at it either as a jerk-off racist---or as one that recognizes
African-American traits in an animated character----you can "suppose"
any way you like.
