    BBP Mystic Seer replica?

I know that they did a bobblehead, but on another site I read that they are making an in-scale replica of the Mystic Seer. Someone posted a link to Michael Crawford's review page featuring Talky Tina, but the only Mystic Seer I have found pictures of is the bobblehead. I've looked at the various threads here, but haven't found it. Is this really going to be released? If someone has pictures or knows which thread it was unveiled in, could they please post it?

Hm, the first time I saw that, I could have sworn it was the bobblehead. Are the dimensions on that accurate? It looks a bit narrow. Also, how did they come up with that color scheme? I always thought the Mystic Seer was more metal or black, with a red devil head on top.

There is a Bobblehead too, sorry I didn't take photos, I have a blind spot for bobbleheads.

Dunno on color scheme, I'll ask if I get a chance. It's interesting re: black and white TWZ figs. The bobbleheads of the same characters are in color.

There's a guy with a website that has been building Mystic Seer kits for several years now and he uses the same color scheme as BBP:

That full-sized Mystic Seer looks great. What company is releasing it...same as the TZ figures?

BBP said the scale is pretty close to the orginal, it's a bit of a guess because it's based on reference photos. There's a calculus formula involving the size of a mid 60's William Shanter head times distance compensating for the Z axis....

Color scheme is correct, there apparently is one at Disneyworld(?) that Disney chose to do with a red head and that's where the confusion lies, and they may actually do a redhead Disneyworld exclusive....

Correct, it's on a shelf overhead in one of the waiting areas for the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride

Would be interested in hearing some details and specs from BBP on their upcoming replica prop. Thanks,

BBP, ok great. Thanks for the info. I'm also wondering how many "fortune" cards it will come with, whether you'll stick to the fortunes seen in the TZ episode or come up with additional fortune scripts, etc. Also, the devil head on the prototype seen at SDCC seemed small, compared to vintage pix and screencaps from the episode (but admittedly, hard to tell for sure)? Keep us posted.

                          Regards,

The number of fortunes that will come with this has not been decided. We'll stick with actual fortunes that we know of from the show, but may have a few surprises. As far as the proportions for the Devil head, we have used every source possible to come up with the most accurate reproduction. But that's still no guarantee that ours will be 100% accurate and to scale.
