The popualarity of the Mego Star Trek line did not go unnoticed by smaller toy manufacturers looking to make a quick buck by trading on this sales heat.<\/p>\n<p><!-- ledy SECTION STARTS HERE --><br \/>\n<!--ANCHOR TAG --><\/p>\n<div class=\"subpad\"><a id=\"creatures\" name=\"creatures\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div id=\"subheadbox\">\n<div class=\"subhead\">Creatures from Other Worlds<\/div>\n<div class=\"topbox\"><a href=\"#top\">Return to Top<\/a><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/megolibrary\/megoesque\/tomlandscreatures.jpg\" alt=\"Tomland Creatures from other worlds\"><\/p>\n<p>Toymaker Tomland (A division of Marx in the UK) made these 8&#8243; spacemen to blend in with Mego&#8217;s line of Star Trek aliens. One former Larami exec commented in an interview it was hoped that children would swap the body with a Mego figure.<\/p>\n<p>While the figures themselves are licensed, the outfit is clearly a swipe at the Keeper&#8217;s robe from the first wave of Aliens.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.plaidstallions.com\/racktoys\/martianchronicles.html\">Plaidstallions Martian Chonicles Gallery<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"subheadbox\">\n<div class=\"subhead\">Mr Rock<\/div>\n<div class=\"topbox\"><a href=\"#top\">Return to Top<\/a><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/startrek\/images\/mrrockl.jpg\" alt=\"Lincoln International Mr Rock figure\"><\/p>\n<p>Perhaps the most blatant of all the Star Trek knockoffs <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lincolnmonsters.com\"> Lincoln International&#8217;s<\/a> Mr. Rock isn&#8217;t even trying to pretend what he is.<br \/>\nRock comes on a standard Lincoln body and packaged with an oversized flare gun and pink barbie clone radio(!), both of these objects are a struggle to hold and can be found cheaply on ebay in lots.
