In the early eighties<br \/>\nMego planned to extend the line using vehicles from the sagging<br \/>\nMicronauts line including Micro rail city. The Star Searcher was<br \/>\nreleased in a Buck Rogers box (despite the fact that the instructions<br \/>\nstill said &#8220;Micronauts&#8221;) but buyers didn&#8217;t bite when the series<br \/>\ndidn&#8217;t return for fall 1980. Mego also tried to repackage the Star<br \/>\nTrek Mission to Gamma IV as the &#8220;Draconian Fortress&#8221; but sadly, it didn&#8217;t fly.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tH1YLhS5v0c\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/teevee\/images\/landrover.jpg\" alt=\"The Buck Rogers Land Rover\" align=\"bottom\"><\/p>\n<p>The Buck Rogers Land Rover was featured briefly in the pilot and then later made a cameo in the &#8220;Flight of the War Witch&#8221; two parter, Mego made a terrific rendition of this piece.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/teevee\/images\/landrover2.jpg\" alt=\"The Buck Rogers Land Rover\" align=\"bottom\"><\/p>\n<p>The Land Rover is one of the most difficult pieces to find MIB in the Buck Rogers series.<\/p>\n<p>Laser Scope Fighter MIB<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/teevee\/images\/bucklaser.jpg\" alt=\"The Buck Rogers Laser ship was a vehicle not based on the series, it also turned up in Mego's Black Hole line\" align=\"bottom\"><\/p>\n<p>Star Fighter MIB is the most desirable piece in the series, proving<br \/>\nit&#8217;s one of Science Fiction more enduring designs.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/teevee\/images\/buck_starfighter.jpg\" alt=\"The Buck Rogers Starfighter, one of Mego's better Space ships\" align=\"bottom\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Vintage Mego Buck Rogers Star Fighter toy\" width=\"860\" height=\"484\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u1OfhU_LlQQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/teevee\/images\/starfightergrand.jpg\" alt=\"The Buck Rogers Starfighter Canadian Box\" align=\"bottom\"><\/p>\n<p>This Canadian boxed Star Fighter is a truly rare item, not many are kicking around. It had nothing to do with the Buck Rogers television series and is actually a <strong>Micronauts<\/strong> &nbsp;Star Defender vehicle repackaged under the Buck Rogers brand. Even the name &#8220;<strong>Star Searcher<\/strong>&#8221; is a trademark from an earlier Micronauts &#8220;Star Defender&#8221; vehicle. &nbsp;The most significant change being the box artwork which features Buck, Wilma and Twiki fighting Draconians.
