The line created an interesting problem for Mego\u00a0because retailers questioned why they should buy regular WGSH that\u00a0didn&#8217;t have the action feature. Indeed, it&#8217;s a bit of a puzzle why\u00a0Mego didn&#8217;t extend the feature to all their WGSH figures. It may\u00a0simply be that reaction from buyers was not have been positive enough\u00a0to warrant it. <span class=\"basicblack\">Neal Kublan<\/span> barely\u00a0remembered the line in our <a href=\"..\/http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/megolibrary\/kublan.shtml\">interviews<\/a>\u00a0with him.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/wgsh\/fistfighters\/images\/ffcat.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"269\" align=\"bottom\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This lovely ballroom dance\/fight scene introduced the Fist Fighting Super Heroes in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/catalog \/1975\/index.shtml\"> 1975 Mego catalog<\/a>. This photo is a classic. As you can see from the illustration above the torso is essentially the same, but the hip unit attaches to the torso via an axle that is connected to the switch in the waist. The armholes are tooled out to accommodate freedom of movement. Note that UK\/Palitoy Fist Fighter have a black waist button.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"the ball joint on mego fist fighters breaks easy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/wgsh\/fistfighters\/images\/ffball.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"195\" height=\"195\" align=\"bottom\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The switch twists the axle which is connected to the arms in a<br \/>\nball-and-socket assembly that enables the arms to swing back and<br \/>\nforth in a counter-motion to each other creating the left-right-left<br \/>\nfighting action. Does it work? Pretty much.
