According to some former children, the battery compartment wasn&#8217;t very tight so the Shark didn&#8217;t run for long.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Aquaman figure is a standard type two mego figure.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/wgsh\/playsets\/images\/gws2.jpg\" alt=\"Mego Aquman VS Great White Shark\" border=\"2\"><\/p>\n<p>The biggest question for this playset is why? Aquaman would never be afraid of a shark, he commands them! As well, a fully clothed mego is hardly an ideal tub toy although it wouldn&#8217;t matter to a seven-year-old.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/wgsh\/playsets\/images\/gws3.jpg\" alt=\"Mego Aquman VS Great White Shark\" border=\"2\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/wgsh\/playsets\/images\/gws4.jpg\" alt=\"Mego Aquman VS Great White Shark\" border=\"2\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/wgsh\/playsets\/images\/gws5.jpg\" alt=\"Mego Aquman VS Great White Shark\" border=\"2\"><\/p>\n<p>For something that was spotted on clearance aisles in abundance, the Aquaman playset is one of the hardest to find, a boxed edition can set you back thousands. The shark, however, is rather generic and probably could be found cheaply, so keep checking those boxes below dealers tables!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/wgsh\/playsets\/images\/mego_aquaman.jpg\" alt=\" Mego Aquaman VS the Great White Shark Box\"><\/p>\n<p>New the Museum is the Boxed version of the Great White Shark playset (thanks to Dan for the photos)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/wgsh\/playsets\/images\/mego_shark.jpg\" alt=\"Notice how Aquaman is tucked away in there, very dynamic\"><\/p>\n<p>Aquaman and Shark were packaged in a dynamic position, very cool.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/wgsh\/playsets\/images\/mego_shark_box.jpg\" alt=\"beautiful Mego artwork shows a pumped up Aquaman fighting his enemy\" border=\"0\"><\/p>\n<p>I am absolutely in love with this artwork!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/wgsh\/playsets\/images\/aquaman_shark.jpg\" alt=\"the rarely seen back of the box for this rare mego playset\" border=\"0\"><\/p>\n<p>The Shark&#8217;s instructions take up the back of the box and are rarely seen.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megomuseum.com\/wgsh\/playsets\/images\/aquahand.jpg\" alt=\"web handed Aquaman\" border=\"0\"><\/p>\n<p>Leaping Lamprays! This web handed Aquaman figure was originally shown in the 1978 catalog yet no known examples have been found boxed. This sole figure unearthed by collector Roberto Ligotti is believed to be the only known one. If you worked at Mego and know why Aquaman has webbed hands, please drop us a line.
