1972 Outfitting Action Jackson bodies with new heads and familiar costumes<\/a>, Mego creates the World’s Greatest Superheroes. The first tests were sold for Christmas at New York area 5&Dime EJ Korvetttes<\/a>. The line comprised Superman, RC Batman, RM Robin and Aquaman<\/a> in solid boxes.<\/p>\n

1973 Three new heroes were added for the fall season Spiderman, Captain America and Tarzan. problematic solid boxes are replaced by retailer-friendly window boxes as well as “Kresge” cards.<\/a><\/p>\n

1974 A big year with the addition of the Supergals Assortment<\/a> which included Supergirl, Batgirl, Wonder Woman and Catwoman and the Superfoes Assortment<\/a> featuring Riddler<\/a>, Mr Myx, Joker and Penguin. Shazam<\/a> also arrives to give a hand. 1974 saw the release of the Batmobile, Batcopter, Cycle and Batcave Playset<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n

1975 Here
\ncome more Marvel heroes!<\/a> Hulk, Iron Man, Lizard <\/a> Falcon and Green Goblin released. Fist Fighters<\/a> (Batman, Robin, Joker, Riddler) launched<\/p>\n

1976 O Mighty Isis<\/a> arrives as well as the Fantastic  Four, Thor and Conan..<\/a><\/p>\n

1977 The Teen Titans arrive.<\/a> 1977 sees the departure of Tarzan<\/a> and Wonder Woman<\/a> from assortments and Mego switches from Window boxes to Blister
\nCards<\/a><\/p>\n

1978 No New Releases. The Card artwork<\/a> changes but no new heroes are released .<\/p>\n

1979 More Heroes Dropped. <\/a>Myx, the FF, Conan, Thor, Aquaman,Lizard, Green Goblin, Falcon, Supergirl and midway through the year Isis are cut from the WGSH team.<\/p>\n

1980 Trimming down.<\/a> Riddler, Batgirl and Catwoman are yanked from assortments.<\/p>\n
