14 inch Jason Mamoa Aquaman prototype
After the first Aquaman movie came out and was a huge hit, Mego started working on both 8 inch and 14 inch versions of Jason Mamoa as Aquaman.
Then the sequel was delayed, and interest in the movie cooled off. By the time the film reached theatres, it was not well-received.
The sculpt was done by Andy Covalt, and the costume was “Broadway show” level of material. Tyler Ham did the trident, belt, leg and arm gauntlets. Head paints were done by Tom King, who shared some shots of the final product.
Unfortunately, the movie was not the blockbuster WB had hoped for so thisfigure never went into production.
