...and you put it all together against a background and you're done!

Virtual Mego! "It's easy and fun!"

Uh-oh! Looks like I'm going corporate! Well, if you want a picture of Batgirl to use on your website take this one! If you want to learn how to make digital Mego pictures read on!

I've put this together as a primer for scanning figures and dropping them into backgrounds using Adobe Photoshop. Photoshop is the only program I use for this sort of thing, so I don't know how much this might apply to other digital paint and photo programs, but it might. You might investigate Photoshop LE or PaintshopPro if you are on the PC. They are both cheaper and may have similar features, but I can't say for sure. In any case, I have a lot of fun playing with my Megos digitally and several people have asked how I make the images that go into the Museum. For my backgrounds I use Fractal Painter primarily, but have done a few things in Strata Studio Pro 3D (which I don't recommend, BTW. I got a cheap copy, so I use it). I'm not going to try to get into that. Painter is a great program. It's a little complicated at first, but that's just because it does so many things. So however you make/get your backgrounds is up to you.

But this should help you get beyond the "slap-em-on-the-scanner" look and make some cool pictures with your Megos. It's a great way to play with your toys. Hell, you get really good with this thing and it'll buy you toys!
