The Mego Worlds Greatest Superheroes line had an interesting assortment in the 1975 JC Penney catalog, Batman clearly was the hero of the day with the most representation with an incredible offering of vehicles and playsets. The Fist Fighting Superheroes make their debut as "Button Operated Superheroes" and are clearly prototypes. The only Marvel representation comes from newcomers Hulk and Falcon, who had little to no catalog representation. What makes this catalog interesting is the lack of some of the better selling WGSH such as Superman and Spider-Man. The next year would see JC Penney make More traditional Superhero choices.
