Welcome once again to the Mego Museum’s Megohead of the Month, where we feature a Museum member and their collection.

The Mego Collection of Kresge1
Museum Handle: Kresge1. When I first started collecting I loved the Kresge cards. Something about the taller cards and the colors and that bubble down the middle. I actually had a complete set at one time, but sold off some of them over the years. They are still my favorite packaging
Real Name: Vincent Cerbone
Do you have a website or a blog? No I don’t.

Popy Gatchaman
Happiest Mego Memory? Early childhood… was playing with my star trek figures and the Enterprise playset.
Adult…receiving a mint Kresge carded Shazam! from a phone auction for 150$ It was the last one I need to complete the set and I had been looking for it forever.

Solid Boxed Mego Superman
What is the one thing you’re hunting for? I have a couple that are on the top of my list at the moment…Japanese Popy mego boxed Battle Fance and Kenya.

Solid Boxed Mego Superheroes
What is one item in your collection your most proud of? I am extremely proud of my Lion Rock collection of WW2 figures. I can humbly say I think I have the most extensive LR collection known…all the different boxes from the different countries that released them, all the different carded version and a complete boxed, carded and loose set plus all the catalogs.

Lion Rock WW2 Mego Figures
Any other hobbies, collections? I collect the Gulliver line from Brazil, The SMDM toys, comic books.
Any words of wisdom for beginning collectors? Patience, patience, patience. When I first started I had to have everything right away and I paid top dollars…nowadays I wait for these items to pop up on my price range and I look for the hidden auctions on ebay. Take your time. It will come your way eventually.
