Mego Frankenbumps original art
Many Mego collectors know about Frankenbumps the never released vacuum pump figure (the concept was later used on Cap Toy’s Vac Man) from 1982. The figure was never released but one lucky collector has the box in their home.
Now the original art for that box has surfaced in Toronto of all places. According to the proprieters of Treehouse Collectibles, the artwork was acquired by a woman whose father did packaging art for Mego.
But here’s the kicker, she does not believe her father created this art. So whose work is it? If you have insight into this, we’d love to hear from you.
