Vintage Mego Ad: Mego Buck Rogers

Mego Buck Rogers toy trade Advertising- MegoMuseum

Mego officially announced the Buck Rogers license to the toy trade in 1977, but we didn’t see actual product until 1979. The movie proved to be a surprise hit, and the resulting TV show actually sold merchandise. While Mego President Marty Abrams called the property “too cult,” it outsold many of Mego’s other Sci-Fi toy lines at the time.
