The 12" Line for Black Hole had a large miscalculation. Mego released the humans first! Somehow the Robots (and the Humanoid) were to come second. The human characters warmed the shelves, so guess what North America never saw?

Having said that, if Mego has an underpriced, unappreciated line, it's this one.
The Mego Black Hole line has great likenesses and highly detailed outfits. They deserve more respect for the price they are.

Captain Dan Holland as played by Robert Forster, a pretty decent likeness of a great actor.

Yvette Mimieux was a Sci-Fi veteran. She had previously been in the Time Machine.

Maximillian Schell is Dr. Reinhardt, evil commander of the Cygnus.

Anthony Perkins got an action figure before MacFarlane, a great likeness for Dr. Durant.

.

Joseph Bottoms was second in Command, Charlie Pizer

.

Ernest Borgnine made for a perfect weasel in Harry Booth.

Mike Farence provided all these shots and then lobbied to make it happen.

Above is the Magnetic Vincent that only saw release in Europe by Gig toys, it would have fit in great with the 12" guys. These figures utlized technology from the Mego Micronauts line of toys.

Magnetic Old B.o.b never saw release, this prototype from the collection of John Banavita

Magnetic Olb B.O.O never saw release as a mass produced toy but that didn't stop Mego Super Collector John Bonavita from getting one and sharing it with the world.

Magnetic Black Hole Figures were based on the micronauts

Do you see how we got robbed as kids? Walking Vincent (companion to the 12"ers) and his magnetic buddies only saw toy store shelves in Italy. The Magnetic figures were obviously taken from Mego Micronauts Mego also tried to market Megnetic Superheroes which like the Black Hole only saw release in Italy.
