Mego Die Cast Super Heroes

In 1979, Mego needed to expand the WGSH license in order to keep other companies from encrouching on their territory..

The Mego Diecast Heroes were one of the final new WGSH lines added before Mego folded and they are an overlooked line that deserves attention.

The Mego packaging mentions that the figures were a "Limited Collectors Edition" and features the same style guide artwork as the blue jean carded Pocket Heroes.

Only the "Big Four" characters were produced,Mego Packaging for this line has been found from Canada,Italy, the UK and Germany

Magno Heroes

These 7" tall Magnetic figures were only produced by Gig of Italy and are obvious attempts to cash in on the Micronauts craze. These figures are based on the Magno figures such as Baron Karza and Force Commander, Gig also produced Magno figures of the black hole figures, for futher info please check out The Mego Black Hole Pages .

New to the Megomuseum is this Prototype US card for the Magno Hero line, this is a piece of Mego History feared lost. Click on the pic for more information:

While more commonly found on cards, the Magnetics can be found in boxes as well. Just not easily.....
