Where do you hail from? Staten Island, NY
How did you find the Mego Museum? I was just searching eBay one day for Action Jackson items, I guess I was feeling a bit nostalgic, when I saw all the great stuff from my childhood I continued the search with google which brought me to the M.M.
What inspired you to join the forum? I joined right away, I guess you could say I jumped in feet first, I barley took the time to surf the site, I was just so happy to find people who all shared the same Mego passion on so many different levels.
What is your favorite Mego line? Action Jackson of course! The most under rated of the numerous Mego lines was always my favorite…. the amount of play sets, vehicles and outfits with all their glorious accessories made Action Jackson stand taller then all the rest!
Happiest Mego Memory? Not sure if I told this story before but there was one Christmas I believe I was 11 or 12 where all the presents were opened and I thought that was it, then my Mother told me to look behind the couch, well there it was the AJ Jungle House, I don’t think another Christmas has toped that one.
What is the one thing you’re hunting for? There are a few things, but the top two would be the AJ Lunch Box and Thermos, & The Lost Continent. Of course there is that AJ Wardrobe that I hope Brian will leave for me in his will…..lol
What is one item in your collection your most proud of? So hard to pick one piece, but I would have to say it’s a toss up between the full color AJ Camper box I just picked up from Mark Huckabone as well as the AJ Jungle house that looks like it came right off the toy store shelf from Scott (megoapesnut)
Any other hobbies, collections? I just started Kayaking and love it, I hope to hit white water next year with an AJ tucked in my PFD.
Any words of wisdom for beginning collectors? Take your time! When I first started collecting again I would try and grab every thing out there, now I try to purchase quality items, it will save you the expense of upgrading. But also keep in mind, buying an incomplete figure and then going on the hunt to make him 100% complete again is a blast….
