Action Jackson Adventure Set by Mego

First offered in the 1974 Mego Catalog, the Action Jackson Adventure set was big ticket item that followed along the marketing plan of competitors Hasbro and Mattel, who would often repackage and combine items from the G.I. Joe and Big Jim series into different offerings.

The Adventure set would not have offered anything new to the mix but would have combined the Rescue Copter, Scramble Cycle with one Action Jackson and a Parachute for good measure.

Buyers didn't bite however (probably due to Aj's luke warm sales) and the concept was abandoned, the only remaining item from those days is this showroom sample of the original box. Shown below, the only known example:
