Ming The Merciless

The Mego Ming looks just as he should: Bald and Evil. Note the yellowing happening on his outfit, this happened to a lot of green items.

Carded Mego Ming the Merciliess from Flash Gordon

The Flash Gordon card art was no slouch either obviously using some of Raymonds original work.

Loose Ming The Merciless

belt

Ming wears a brown belt with detachable shoulder strap. His is unique though, as it features a wider bandolier with a star design imprinted on it. It has not been factory reproduced and is unique to the character. Note- Also included with the belt is a sticker set with three yellow dots that are to be placed on the belt. There is also a sticker similar to the star pattern on the bandolier. These stickers should be present to complete the figure.

Helmet 1

helmet 1

Ming comes with a green helmet with red/orange plume. It is one of two helmets the character comes with and it has not been factory reproduced.

Helmet 2

helmet 2

Ming also comes with a red/orange helmet that has some kind of yellow creature resting on top. It is one of two helmets the character comes with and it has not been factory reproduced.

Holster

holster

Ming is equiped with a brown clip on the belt style holster. The other characters in the line all come with the same holster, but in yellow. Only Ming should have the brown one. It has not been factory reproduced. Note- The holster should have a snap down flap. This flap breaks off easily and is often missing.

gun

Ming carries the same gun the other characters in the line carry, but his is yellow and the others are red. Ming is the only character to carry the yellow weapon in the FG line, however, this pistol is also carried by the 12″ Zod figure. It has not been factory reproduced.

sword

Flash, Zarkov and Ming all carry the same sword. It’s wider than Dale’s and has a looped handle guard. It has not been factory reproduced.

Sword Sheath

sword sheath

Flash, Zarkov and Ming all carry the same sword, so it makes sense they also carry the same yellow sword sheath to store it in. The sheath clips on the belt. It’s slightly different from Dales, just a bit wider. It has not been factory reproduced.

boots

Ming wears boots that are similar in height to the other males in the line, but are different. Ming’s boots are very clean looking, no cuffs or spurs. Boots in the Flash Gordon line are made of a very soft rubbery material, very different from the standard harder plastic Mego used on most boots in the 8″ lines. They have not been factory reproduced.
