He never saw release but this cool concept of a figure was eventually retooled into Vac-Man in the 1990s. What is Frankenbumps? Here's what the patent says:Labels: mad monsters, Mego of the Day
Not surprisingly, the Mego of the day today is Dracula (Monsters at Halloween, what a brave choice) not only the toughest Mad Monster to find but the originator of that whole "Tuxedo shirt" fad in the late seventies. Who knew?Labels: mad monsters, Mego of the Day
Our Mego of the Day is Marvel comics The Falcon, when people talk about Mego at the height of their creativity, the Green Arrow is often mentioned but honestly, look at this guy! That's right, take an action photo of your mego (or EMCE) Kirk and tell us why he can kick Khan's butt. Do whatever you want, be creative, use photoshop if you can, use the 3" movie Kirk, or even just use this photo but give us a good reason why Khan won't be stealing the Enterprise Playset anytime soon.

Mego of the Day is something no Fonzie doll should be without (but most are sadly) the Fonzie Motorcycle. Despite it's training wheels, the Fonzie Motorcycle brings back to a time when a leather jacket and a solid catchphrase could make you an overnight sensation.Labels: happy days, Mego of the Day
Today's Mego of the Day may be the strangest item showcased here, the wonderfully odd (but not produced) Kiss Kamping set. Made for the 12" series of Mego KISS Dolls because everybody knows the boys just love the outdoors in full makeup. Whatever, it was the 70s and perfectly alright for people to have cocktails with their lunch.Labels: 1979, KISS, Mego of the Day
An interesting new addition to the Megomuseum Galleries is this 1977 A carded Green Arrow, he most notable feature of these figures is the butterfly punch and the thinner plastic bubble.
While both backers are non glossy on these versions, what's unique about the card on the left unique about the card on the right is it's purple backer, proving to many that there was an Aquaman in this A card series as well..

Mego of the Day is one of the most popular characters ever produced, the 8" Type 2 World's Greatest Superheroes Batman figure. When a lot of people think the word "Mego", this is what pops into their heads. Not me however, I always think of clownarounds.....Labels: Mego, Mego of the Day, WGSH

Today's Mego of the Day is a pain in the neck to Doctor Who, the 10 inch Cyberman doll. Despite being touch as nails on the series, the Mego Cyberman is a very fragile thing to own. Looking at him the wrong way can cause damage!Labels: Doctor Who, Mego, Mego of the Day
