Captain Patch Returns (Sort of)

A neat new addition to the Mego Museum Super Pirates Gallery.

Captain Patch was recycled by an anonymous toy distributor in the mid seventies to get rid of excess Matchbox "Fighting Furies" outfits. The figure was often just shoved into an existing outfit (as seen above). The head is a reverse of the Mego head (Meaning his eye patch is on the other eye), his outfit consists of Jean LaFite's clothes and his body is the exact same as Captain Eagle,who was marketed with spare Action Jackson outfits. Mego of the Day: Captain Patch

Mego of the Day is Captain Patch from the World's Greatest Super Pirates line. He's the only character that doesn't have some sort of tie to either history or fictional pirate characters in the line.
