1966 BATMAN TV SERIES

My main project is to customize every main character and vehicle from the 1966 Batman TV show. The first pic shows most of what I did so far. The carded Riddler, bagged Batshield, carded Batarang and Shakespeare bust are not mine, the rest is. I'm particularly proud of King Tut, I put a lot of time, effort, detail and love into his suit.

So far I've finished the Batmobile, the Batcycle is half done (still need to do the sidecar). Eventually I also want to customize the Batboat, Batcopter, the Batgirl Batcycle and even the Batcave.

Having Adam West, Burt Ward and Yvonne Craig sign their boxes was the icing on the cake. Hope to add Julie Newmar (Catwoman) and Malachi Throne (False Face) to that collection soon too.

BATMAN

Being a big Batman fan I was disappointed Mego didn't make more villains, so I started correcting that "mistake". Villains like Two-Face and Scarecrow never got a lot of love, not in the TV series and not from Mego, even tho they're two of the coolest villains. Also pictured are Commissioner James Gordon, Bane (FC torso on a Mego pelvis with Mego legs), Man-Bat, Ra's Al Ghul, my version of the Joker (different head, hat from Buk), Killer Croc and Mr.Freeze (my own vision, not based on a comic, cartoon or movie).

I'm also a Star Trek fan, so after seeing the amazing work by James Brady and Dave MC I just had to have a collection like that as well. But by that time the custom suits were no longer available, so I had to do them myself. I can tell you this much, following in the footsteps of James and Dave is not an easy thing to do. I still have a long way to go and I've added some other characters to the mix as well, like Mugato (with help from Buk), Bele and Maab. Doing Sulu and Checkov is just logical, can't believe Mego never made these. Big thanks to Dave for sending me the Martha prototype dress, so I could copy it.

AUTHORS

Another project is the World's Greatest Authors. This all started with Edgar Allan Poe, a present I got from Todd. He's joined by Bram Stoker and Robert Louis Stevenson, Mary Shelley and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle will finish the set.

CLASSIC MOVIE MONSTERS

My latest project is classic movie monsters, Matt Jaycox has been a big inspiration for this one. Props to Buk for the Creature head, Russ for the Frankenstein and Wolf Man head and Laurie for the Phantom head. And Anthony of course for those cool boxes. By the way, Anthony makes all my boxes, great guy to deal with.

OTHER STUFF

Staying close to the monster theme, I also did Jack the Ripper (head from Laurie, custom hat by Buk), a gargoyle (wings by Buk, head by Don, Gorn hands and feet by James Brady and custom grey Hulk body from Austin) and Ash from Army of Darkness. He comes with his chainsaw hand, boomstick and a homemade Book of the Dead.

I also ventured on a trip to the Dark Side and made Darth Vader using a Pez head.
